The night has always been associated with the darker side of
human experiences. It holds something unknown. In this project I explored what
happens at night behind closed student room doors. Most of the students are
young people, who are away from the home for the first time. All these new
experiences, opportunities, friends, and freedom can make them lose track of
their main goal – getting a degree. These dead-pan portraits reveal student
life from three different perspectives.
The boy holding a controller is spending his night in front
of a TV screen, the girl is in a bright red dress waiting for her house party
to start, and the guy who left his university work for the last minute trying
to get everything done in one night. Even though these students are doing
different things, they all are connected by procrastination.
