Building a frame

To start building a frame first of all we needed an image or just to know what size image we will be putting in the frame. Then we chose the wood that we liked, cut it into two. Then Tim and Craig made a bevelled edge for the image and Perspex to go in. 


Having that we were able to cut the wood in four pieces: 2 sides and top with bottom. The ends of the pieces needed to be 45 degrees, so after gluing it would look like that:


The next step was to sand the ends of our 4 pieces so they would stuck together without leaving any gap or wrong angle. 

When we had all of our pieces ready we glued them together using wood glue. We left to dry for a week. Then we measured what size Perspex and back of the frame has to be and cut them using laser cutter. 



The next step was to sand our frames, so they would be smooth and put wax resin.
